If you love Nevernight, this book is right up your alley.

A bisexual MC on the hunt for revenge against those who betrayed her, an f/f romance that I'm kind of conflicted on but definitely isn't all sunshine and butterflies, snappy writing with some great banter.

Overall I ended up really getting into this book, but especially toward the beginning I was wondering about getting through it's repetitiveness and how long it really seemed to take to start getting anywhere. I only need to be told so many times that this wouldn't even be the worst thing Sal said to Liette today, for example. The book is 660 pages, but really didn't need to be.

Shelves: series, fantasy, audiobook

Things I liked:
1) the romance between Sal and Liett.
2) Sal strong personality

Things I didn't like:
1) Sal had too much anger
2) there was too much cussing
3) the fantasy story has too much action and was very violent.

Recommend to: Adults that don't mind violence and cussing. ...more
