I had to force myself to get through this for the sake of The Name of the Book Club. The writing is beautifully descriptive, but when it's filled with metaphors instead of alluding to an actual plot, it fails to capture me.

Possibly my favourite book of all time. This book felt like it was written just for me, and I hope it finds all the other people out there that will feel the same way.
I think this is better than The Night Circus.
This was not as great as I was hoping but there were things about it i enjoyed so i am glad i read it and i will try authors other work since i did like the writing.
