Shelves: interesting-nonfiction

This book is two stories in one: the development & building of the 1893 World Fair in Chicago, and the story of H. H. Holmes, one of America's first known serial killers, who used the World Fair to commit his crimes. I loved this book; I think this period and series of events in American history aren't widely known. I read that Leonardo DiCaprio and Martin Scorsese are attempting to bring this story as a limited series, which would be AMAZING!!!

This is more of a 3.5 for me. The architecture part was neat. I’m not sure I needed the crime novel mixed in there every other chapter, but I guess that was the point of the book.
