Sadly Coach Summitt was recently diagnosed with Alzheimers the book deals with that part of her life. One finishes the book with great admiration for this person,and you are left hopefull that she will be able to live a quality life as this disease progresses.

Not really my favorite book. But it is the best book I've read in recent days. So that qualifies. Pat Summitt has lived an incredible life from her growing up as a driven young Tennessee girl to the to the absolute height of her profession as one of the pioneers of womens collegiate basketball. Reading the book is like a who's who of that sport, Summitt's playing career led her to being a silver medalist in the 1976 Olympics, and a coach of the 1984 Gold Medal winning team.
