A great book to read if you want that feeling that makes you not want to put it down! It is based on a little girl growing up who has a love of books and grows up in poverty, but works hard to get out of difficult situations.

I’ll admit this was one of those books I always wanted to read but knew I likely never would. Until it was picked for my book club. It took me an entire month to make it through and I am so glad I did! I don’t need to write an in-depth interpretation because people have been studying it and composing reviews on it for a century. But I liked it and liked Francine and this was a cozy safe read about observations of things in life we can’t change and some we can. ❤️
