I think having watched the Hulu series first helped me understand and visualize the events that took place in this book. The first season followed the book very closely but obviously the TV series was able to give more detailed information since we could see more happening beyond “Offred’s” point of view.
I was only in the fifth grade when this book was first published, so I missed the frenzy this book caused when it first hit the shelves.
