Stories that are shared can have a way of connecting us. The copy of To Kill a Mockingbird that Erin reads over and over again in her connection to her long dead mother. No one seems to understand her need to know her Mom, her Dad won't talk about her, her brothers could care less. Erin is scared that once her Dad marries his fiance, she'll lose her chance to find out more about her Mother forever. This was a book club read for last month. I did not care for To Kill a Mockingbird mainly because it is so overhyped. A book should change you and with as many people saying they love To Kill a Mockingbird we shouldn't have any more discrimination due to race or mental handicaps. Back to In Search of Mockingbird - this book is about a young girl that runs away from home in hopes of meeting Harper Lee in Monroe, AL.
