This review has not been approved by the Ministry of Truth. It will not be approved. It contain radical thoughts which counter Big Brother. It also has too many italics.

Classic. What is a classic? And what makes a classic novel? According to nearly every list produced by every opinionated and reputable source, George Orwell's 1984 is a classic novel.

I really struggled to finish this book. However, I did enjoy the part where I found out more about a society. We had a discussion at work about how this is becoming true with "Big Brother" watching us. However, we still have our individuality and our freedom. Could this happen? Possibly with the shrinking of the middle class. However, people want luxery so I think a Brave New World would be a more plausible future. This is so damn close to the present that I wanted to rip my eyes out by the end of the book. Seriously, I want to tell everyone to read this book, and then declare war on the government.....ah hell just give me another glass of gin....
