Fascinating... a true story that reads like a novel, I literally could not put it down. To say the least, I was baffled by the story, shocked even. To read about how these guys (there were four mentioned in the novel) were put away for crimes they didn't commit, was shocking and horrifying. This could happen to anybody. The supreme case of wrong place, wrong time. It was almost unbelievable. Before I read this novel, if you told me the story about people being wrongly convicted, I would have lau ...more

This book was interesting in that one really does get the sense that our judicial system only works as well as the people enforcing it. However, I thought the book was very one-sided and to me, there was an obvious agenda. I think if Grisham had of just stuck with the facts, it would have been better. I use to be a huge fan of Grisham but over the years drifted away. So it was with a little trepidation that I decided to read this book. I am glad I did. Grisham takes his talent for creating a story and applies it to this true account.
