I like urban fantasy with its female protagonists. Hey, I'm a big fan of Buffy after all. Too many in this genre run to formula I'll admit--down to the first person point of view. This isn't any exception--Kitty is a disc jockey/talk show host who also happens to be a werewolf and our narrator.

Kitty Norville is the late night DJ at a local radio station. She is also a werewolf. One night when she starts a conversation about the supernatural and soon it becomes a regular weekly spot. But not everyone is happy about it including the local master vampire and her own wolf pack. When women start being viciously murdered Kitty is tapped by the local Police to help solve the case, soon Kitty discovers a rogue werewolf and she may be the next victim.

To those who, like me (romance junkies?), wonder if there is romance then the answer is that at least in this book there isn't romance.. not really. Maybe the start of it... You know like in those books where the Urban Fantasy and Paranormal is what controls the book, and there's a guy that we hope to keep seeing in the next books and eventually some romance between him and the main...
