Listen, this story is as good as it gets. No, it's not perfect, but it's close.
Yes, most of the story is told through letters...long, excruciatingly detailed letters that you and I and any person with a schedule would likely never write. That is this book's only achilles heel: this small deviation from plausability.

Boring. Don't read this. If you do, skip pages 150 - 650 as nothing happens.
The evil librarian character did grow on me by the 100th time he popped up and tried to bite the main characters. I kept hoping he'd succeed.
Still not sure what Dracula was trying to do. He didn't seem like he was getting in anyone's way. Someone should re-write this book from his point of view and portray Helen, Rossi, main character guy and the daughter as relentless, murder-filled stalkers.

I didn't think that my time spent on this book was rewarded in the end.

I love this book--It is a historical fiction book that links modern day to the medieval life of Vlad the Impaler. It also has a lot of fantasy themes, especially related to vampires. I am usually not a "vampire" person, but this book had me staying up late at night, wondering what was next.

I started this book expecting something a little more serious or realistic than what I got. I'm not complaining, however, because once I got started it was difficult to stop. Although the story calls for a little stretch of the imagination it is done well and was definitely enjoyable.

Couldn't finish this book. Motto slow and detailed. Finally, throwing in the towel.
