What Members Thought
The first book I have read on the "Kindle for PC" software. Apart from which, I really enjoyed the book. Read it because I was catching up on a group read from one of my GR groups, and found it compelling. And thanks to Stephanie for the phrase "literary creepy" which describes this book perfectly.

This was my kind of scary story-the kind of book that works you up and makes you scared of every little noise you hear. I don't think I've read something like this in years but I loved it.
Before Hill House the only other Jackson I had read was "The Lottery"-she is definitely masterful at creating tension and suspense and at making your imagination get the best of you.
