After the immense popularity of the Broadway musical, and the fact that I heard one of the songs on the radio and LOVED it, I decided to give this book a try. It has a great plot: the story of Oz from the Wicked Witch's point of view. To me, I envisioned it being much like a book I loved as a child, The True Story of the Three Little Pigs, written by the Big Bad Wolf himself, whose account of events differed greatly from that of the pigs. Wicked is an interesting book. I have known many people who have read it. I have never heard anyone with a middle of the road opinion. You either love it, or you hate it. Wicked stirs emotions.
I really liked this book. I thought it was cleverly written and an interesting look at the other side.
If it is true everything has two sides than read Wicked and get a totally different take on the Wicked Witch of the West.

A bit hard to follow ~ jumped around & felt as though some scenes/events taken for granted. I usually enjoy books from a different perspective. It was okay.
Interesting perspective. Tells the other side of the story. Sometimes it reads a little slowly. Overall a worthwhile read.
