This is a favorite novel and one of the best fantasies I've ever read. I know one friend who refuses to read it because it's "about rabbits." This isn't what you might think though. There's nothing cutesy or Disney about these rabbits. Adams creates an entire religion, mythology and language for his rabbit culture. The twenty or so rabbit characters are distinguishable individuals with real personalities, especially the hero Hazel and Fiver. For that reason it doesn't really feel like allegory t
