I think I should have read more goodreads reviews before I delved into this one. I was expecting a mystery type girly novel where claims about the "rightful" heir or heiress is explored and maybe some romance was thrown in. Oh my, did I get so much more! It was wonderful! The history of the deceased, Poppy Mallory, was explored in detail. Her relationships with her father, lovers, and children told an amazing weaving tale. Mafia, madams and murder all were included.
