First published in 1985, this is a much recommended book and author in the romance genre. In this time-travel tale the hero, Nicholas, is summoned to modern day England by the need of the American heroine, Dougless, for a "knight in shining armor"--that, she tells Nicholas, is what "all women want...a man to rescue her." Really liked this one. Great imagination and description. I must admit romance novels don't tend to stay on my mind, the story quickly forgotten. Not this one. I remember every detail.

This has been my favorite time travel romance since it came out. It just captured me. The authors prose made me feel like I was the one in the story. I love this book.
