I enjoyed this start to the Charlotte and Thomas Pitt series, set in Victorian London. This novel opens in 1881 with the still unmarried Charlotte Ellison. Her elder sister Sarah is married to a man Charlotte has a longstanding crush on, and her younger sister Emily is trying to catch a Lord in matrimony.
