Meh. I must be the only person in the Universe who doesn't watch Bones, and who didn't know this book was the start of the series that spawned it. The tale had its moments, but at times the spelling errors and the overuse of metaphors were too distracting.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book from start to finish, and I'm glad I've got the series at home. I think I'm beyond hooked. If this series gets better and better, it'll be right up there on my list of faves, that's for sure! Crystal said, "Patricia Cornwell, eat your heart out!" I wholeheartedly and completely agree with that.

A great start, although having come off of the TV show into the novels, I find the dynamics on the show much more intruiging than that of the novels. It's also a bit hard to relate to the novel version of Temperance. It's still a good start, and a really interesting novel, so I'll definitely pick up the others.

I've had this book on Mount Toobie for a long time, had put off reading it because I was burnt out on whodunits with predictable plot lines and outcomes. This one kept me guessing, and, while unnecessarily lengthy, held my interest. I was disappointed to learn that the television show Bones is not based on this series at all, the two leads sharing only their name and profession. I hadn't been watching it because I wanted to read the books on which it is based, first. I suppose I need not refrain
