Occasionally, you come across a book that you just have to read after having watched a movie based loosely on it. I purchased this book a few years ago and it has been patiently waiting for me to pick it up and immerse myself in the memories of the author. The descriptions are wonderful and the vignettes powerful.
Although nothing like the film, _Out of Africa_ is a moving, personal glance of a European woman's life in Africa on a farm.

"I had a farm in Afrika..." I remember this one, narrated by Meryl Streep in the movie and I remember the beautiful blue sky... Well, I like the movie.
I've read some pages of the book and I think I'm gonna enjoy it as well.
