I am renewing my love of science fiction this month with my book choices. I have determined that sci-fi authors must not like children very much because they are always put in awful, grown-up situations that deny them a childhood. Either that or parents are limited in the number of children they can have. Ender's Game has both. I borrowed this book a few months ago from the library, read the first chapter then got an email the same day from the library saying it was due back. I returned it and put it straight back onto my reserve list. Luckily the wait was not too long and when I picked it up this time I started reading it immediately and finished in only a few days.

Ender's game was a fun book to read. I couldn't put it down at times, however it was repetitive at times. ;)
At first I felt a little short changed/peeved when the climax came and went unexpectedly. But this coincided very nicely with Ender's own feelings; that was cool, so I was forgiving.
Great use of irony at times.
The theme of Ender's loneliness was powerful.
