This is without a doubt my new favorite book. Card does an exceptional job in both creating characters and establishing plot lines that run deep throughout the entire story. The story of Andrew (Ender) Wiggin is used on the professional soldiering level as material to educate the military leaders of tomorrow. (I can recall when I was in the army; many Warrant Officers attending flight school had been assigned to the book to read.) It does seem a bit farfetched in the story that children would be ...more

I borrowed this book a few months ago from the library, read the first chapter then got an email the same day from the library saying it was due back. I returned it and put it straight back onto my reserve list. Luckily the wait was not too long and when I picked it up this time I started reading it immediately and finished in only a few days.
