What is Ender's game? Even he doesn't find out until the very end, and this kept me intrigued and entertained. I read this for a book club, and never would have got past the "out of my genre" and (worse still) "youth stack" label otherwise, but I would have missed a good yarn.

This is without a doubt my new favorite book. Card does an exceptional job in both creating characters and establishing plot lines that run deep throughout the entire story. The story of Andrew (Ender) Wiggin is used on the professional soldiering level as material to educate the military leaders of tomorrow. (I can recall when I was in the army; many Warrant Officers attending flight school had been assigned to the book to read.) It does seem a bit farfetched in the story that children would be

This book lost me with its views on women and jews. Yeah, women as a rule suck at strategy because of...evolution. Why not.
I won't be reading the sequels unless they're written from the adult soldiers' perspectives. I can see it now -
Soldier A: What - did our lead commander's voice just crack giving that order?

Excellent audiobook with multiple talented narrators. Loved the characters and adventures.
