This book lost me with its views on women and jews. Yeah, women as a rule suck at strategy because of...evolution. Why not.

I won't be reading the sequels unless they're written from the adult soldiers' perspectives. I can see it now -

This book was part of a book club and I was resistant to reading it. I am not a fan of sci-fi and was being snobby. However I did enjoy the story and plan to read the rest of the series. A classic sci-fi book that I reccomend to anyone who thinks they wont like sci-fi

Well I had a hard time rating this book. I cared about Ender and I was interested in the story, but it took me a long time to get through it. The battle scenes were a little too detailed and kind of lost me. It reminded me of Hunger Games but I didn't like it nearly as much ...more

I have read the whole series and although some books were better than others, I love the whole series. The way that Card can bring his characters to life is amazing. I feel like I really do know them. He is definitely a master character writer.
