Are you kidding me! These men *rafted* across the Pacific Ocean! Heyerdahl gives an incredible account of the journey. He is quite intellectual but also very romantic in his descriptions. He makes everything come alive: the sea has personality; the parrot, the crab and even the pilot fish become characters in the story. Reading this book will make you want to do something out of the ordinary with your life.
