Fun, enjoyable fluff. Only thing that grossed me out were the continuous references to her dirty kitchen.

Julia Child did not approve of what Julie Powell did. I sort of get that in the sense that if you understand the hours, days, weeks that Julia put into making one recipe right it seems offensive that Julie got famous for a one-off idea. However, Julie gets the spirit of Julia- that cooking can transform you. It can change the way you look at the world, its peoples, cultures, and ultimately yourself.
