Kalau buku My Life In France tetap berhasil mendapat 3 bintang dariku walaupun ebooknya ngaco, buku ini tak bisa diselamatkan. Pada dasarnya memang kurang suka. Cara bercerita Julie susah kuikuti. Misalnya pada awalnya dia menceritakan A lalu dia menceritakan B lama sekali; sewaktu aku sudah l

I listened to this book on my computer (love the ebooks from the library) during my lunch hour each day at work. It was read by the author which was good in this case because the tone and voice of this book is pretty acerbic and it was good that the author was willing to own that by reading it herself. (There is definitely some spicy language in the book.)

I didn't read this book until after seeing and fully enjoying the movie version. At first I was really stuck on the fact that the Amy Adams version of Julie Powell was much more likable than the actual Julie Powell but I eventually got over it and ended up liking the book.

I've been trying to read this book for a while, well ever since I saw the movie starring Amy Adams and Meryl Streep (which was entertaining, but definitely not a movie I would be quick to view again), but the never-ending supply of library holds kept getting in my way. Finally, I had the chance to read it and can say that I felt it both very entertaining and very uplifting. In fact, it kind of made me want to go and try to tackle some insane project for a year and write about it... now I just ne

Julie Powell is at a crossroads in her life and in one moment of insanilty decided to cook every recipe in Julia Childs Mastering the Art of French Cooking and write a blg about her adventure. And thank God she did.
I really liked this book. It was laugh out loud funny and emotionally draining all at the same time. Julie Powell is very honest about her live and emotions which is refreashing. She takes us on the Journey with her and you cant help but to grow from it.
