This book is a memoir of a childhood with parents who were neglectful, selfish, and even abusive at times, yet the author never portrays them as anything worse than eccentric. Phenomenal read, and remarkably absorbing. One of the first books I've read in a while that was hard to put down. I can't wait to read her Wild Horses book next.
