I love this book. It used easy wording so I am reading it really fast. However, the story is not light at all. It is about a little boy who grows up in the slums of Limerick. There is such desperation and deprivation... but at the same time there is a bit of hilariousness about it... You must read this book.
Okay...i came really close to finishing this book. Schoool started && it was too confusing to finsh, but SUCH a great book. I recommend it to all people. :). Made me realize so much that we Americans take for granted.
I've read this a few times. One of my favorite books. The writing is so descriptive, you can feel his anguish, smell the filth, hear the brogue. A testament to the resiliency of the human spirit.
