I love this book. It used easy wording so I am reading it really fast. However, the story is not light at all. It is about a little boy who grows up in the slums of Limerick. There is such desperation and deprivation... but at the same time there is a bit of hilariousness about it... You must read this book.
I saw the movie before reading the book. It so depressed me, I could not finish the movie. So, of course I had to try and read the book. I was even more depressed. Still, a well written book, that I would never even attempt to read again. If it wasn't for how sad it was, I would have given it a higher ranking. The sad part is that it is based on the author's life, which depresses me even more that people did and still do live like that.
