I can't say I loved this book but I thought the author did a fantastic job of making something I really don't care about (horse racing) seem interesting and even compelling at times. Her descriptions of the races are great-she really builds up the tension and suspense (if you were like me and had no clue what happened in each race that is I guess.) ...more

I enjoyed this book and read it before I saw the movie. I didn't think the information about the night life in Tijana was pertinent at all and it shouldn't have been included. ...more
