This is an amazing book that traces the AIDS Epidemic from the first known cases to 1985. You meet the people and the scientists that tried to fight the disease and the apathetic political groups that stood in the way. This is a story I was familiar with before I read the book but after reading it I was outraged by the governments attitude of turn a blind eye because its a "gay" disease.
