What Members Thought
This is a quirky book but I liked it alot. This writer appeals to me; his next book was a real winner too.
A quirky and unusual book. The character of Christopher captured me from the first page. It was truly a discovery to me on how the thought processes work in the mind of a person with autism. Like bkitten I had no idea of how a family with an autistic child had to reorder their life to make accomodations. I picked this up from the library and had planned to read it after I'd read some other books but I just had a quick peak at the first few pages and was completely drawn in. The narrator is an autistic boy and the author does a wonderful job of capturing his voice. I loved the numbering of the chapters, lists and drawings. Very sad as he joins the dots on some events in his life because you know what's coming. Recommended reading.
