I liked it, once I finally got into it. It took me a while. I really enjoyed the overall family saga, but couldn't relate to the parents at all. It's difficult to love a book when the main characters are so completely flawed. For me anyways....

I know that everyone loves this book and I love Joyce Carol Oates but I just couldn't read another book about incest. I got about 1/5th of the way through and remembered that I didn't have to finish it.
