I have had this book on my shelf for a while, but when I got it on my Nook, I decided to give it a try. . . wish I'd read it sooner! This story of a 90+ year old man as he remembers his time with the circus - including the challenges of the era, the brutality of the circus culture and his love for the animals and a woman. I was drawn into the story and had a hard time putting it down. I enjoyed the characters much more than I thought I would, and I came away loving Rosie so much.

This one I liked. The characters were lovable and interesting. A completely unique time period and setting with depth - not just superficial pandering to the reader. Recommend.
I love this book! I highly recommend it. The story and details pull you in and remind you that everyone has a story to tell
