I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Not just the actual story (which is very good), but even more the author's writing style. I highly recommend it.
I was hooked from the first chapter, and enjoyed the back and forth between Jacob's time in the circus and his present day existance in the nursing home. Although, the young Jacob and the old Jacob felt like two different characters to me, and I much preferred the crusty old Jacob.
