I found this book to be a tad melodramatic and will be avoiding the movie for that very reason. Once again I fell into the hype trap.
The story is told by alternating between each characters. Some of the vignettes seemed unnecessary once it is established early on that this type of time travel recognizes destiny over free-will.

I loved this book. My heart went out to claire who to me seemed to be happy, in love, lonely, sad and waiting all at once. It does make you think of how long do you wait for true happiness.
This book had an interesting premise. I would consider this book a fantasy. I certainly kept my interest. I started turning pages and couldn't stop. Enjoy.
