This novel was better in hindsight then it was while actually reading it.
While I appreciated the author making sense of MOST of the fantastical occurrences in the book, I still thought the book tedious in several parts. There were too many distasteful elements to the story for me to ever really get engaged. Absolutely brilliant - one I have stayed up til midnight to finish... I believe I would have read it much quicker if isolation and the weird state of the world wasn't so distracting, but I'm really hoping it's fabulous plot and believable characters has got me back into reading!
