Enjoyed the detailed characterization of old time NYC and Teddy Roosevelt solving mysteries, one zany scheme at a time. Didn't really care for any of the non-Roosevelt characters. They seemed pretty two dimensional. Not surprising that the author's background is in historical non-fiction. ...more

A historical thriller in turn of the 19th century New York. I loved all of the historical detail even though it made the story seem to drag in spaces. This deserves a much more detailed review...hopefully I'll have time later this week. ...more
