A beautiful story set in 18th century and 1940's Scotland with elements of love, history, geography, time-travel, war, and humor. (what a combination). The narrator made this book even more mesmerizing with her accents and voice inflections - smooth and lovely English "Claire", strong Scottish "Jamie", and cruel, evil Black Jack Randall. I loved the narration so much I can't switch back to reading, so I'm on to Book 2 - Dragonfly in Amber on audio book as well. ...more
