This book may be the first time (ever) that I would say I like a movie better than the novel. Well, I LOOOOVVEEE the movie. I Like the book.
Character development is better in the movie. Buttercup is a stupid pretty girl in the book. Actually, Inigo and Fezzik are presented as incredibly stupid, too. Westley is less sure of himself and a bit less heroic (just a bit) than in the movie. Humperdink and Count Rugan are not as evil in the book as the movie. Funny, but the movie was more of a true fair ...more

It's a good book - it sticks very closely to the movie. If you love this movie and have seen it numerous times, I don't recommend reading the book. If you've never seen the movie, read this book right away - and then go see the movie, you'll love both!
