What Members Thought

This has to be one of the most under-rated books of the 20th century, in my opinion. Wildly popular when published, in went on to become a star studded movie, and it's own cult phenomenon. Literary critics, however, bashed the book, calling it trite and fantastical, largely underwriting the social and class struggles of the Deep South in the years after the war.
