Well written criniminal thriller with well developed characters, a well developed developed proto, but with a mediocre anta. Lecter forms a nice sideshow.
I loved this book. I was worried going into it that I wasn't going to find Clarice as lovable as Will, considering I had gone into the Red Dragon book already attached to his character, and had no such thing with Clarice, but it wasn't a problem. I found her very fun to read, and her relationships with Jack, Ardelia, and other characters were extremely fun to read about. I had also found the movie quite underwhelming, and hadn't picked up on a lot of the nuance of the narrative or the characters
