I must have read this for the first time in high school. A search for anything vampire-related as a direct result of my Buffy obsession, Interview was my first introduction to Anne Rice. Although I loved the book for being remarkably free-flowing, there were moments when it dragged. In comparison to Rice's following novels in the Chronicles, Interview is relatively tame, with just the merest suggestions of descriptive sex, homoerotica, and bloody kills that are found in detail in her other books ...more
