This is one of those Stephen King novels that starts out well, meanders down a few boring bits in the middle (and in this one, it's a LONG middle,) and then ends with a bang. I would have preferred it 300 pages shorter.

My absolute favorite book of all time! The in depth character development, the way I sat on the edge of my seat for days not being able to wait to finish it, but at the same time dreading the end, because then my affair would be over and I knew how empty I would feel, all these attributes and many more keep me coming back once a year. And I still experience the same thrill while reading and emptiness that follows when I finish. *Sigh*
