If you know Sookie by that HBO series, well, from what a friend tells me of them, they're quite different in overall feel and characterization than the books. I haven't seen True Blood, but I have read all the books, and they're favorites.

I needed a little light and fluffy in my life right now. :)
This was just what the doctor ordered. Very distracting, fast paced book with a fair bit of humour. Also some sex and of course violence. Come on, there are vampires, after all. I liked it quite a lot and I've ordered the next couple books in the series from the library. ...more
