UPDATE: I tried this again, hoping to take a fresh perspective. I bought a new copy of the book in Nora Roberts' book store in Boonesboro, MD, so it has good juju, right?! So, I finished. I'm glad I stuck in there to the end...Eve Dallas grew on me as a character after page 100. But, to be honest, I like Roarke better. Another of my audio book selections. JD Robb is one of the pen names of Nora Roberts. Tough, no-frills detective Eve tries to discover the serial killer of prostitutes in a futuristic society where guns are outlawed (except for registered collectors), transportation is super speedy, and coffee is a luxury item.
