I might be one of a handful of people who didn't read this book in high school (despite doing an entire year's unit on the Holocaust and going to the Holocaust Museum in DC at least 5 times). I don't know what I expected, but I don't think this was it. I appreciate the book, and especially that Otto Frank published it. I read this many years ago, and believe everyone should read this at least one time.
I read this book as a yong girl and when we wnet back to Washington DC a few years back we went to the Holacost Museum and I purchased an anabridged copy to this book. I haven't yet read it for the second time but am planning on it as I want to see the difference in the books. It was a sobering book to read but gained a greater appreciation for all those who were willing to risk their lives to help save those who were being persucated and killed for what they looked like, beleived in or their na
