I found this a fascinating book. It is the fictional story of Dinah, daughter of Jacob and sister of Joseph et al of Genesis in the Bible. There is a lot of insight into the life of women in ancient days. While I do not believe a lot of how she portrays some of these Biblical characters as immoral, etc., I think the story very interesting and engaging. I found this book to be rather slow going during the first half but luckily it picked up nicely during the second half. It took me forever to get through the first part but I flew through the second half. I found my familiarity with the Biblical story from which the characters were based really added to the experience of the book. I recommend pushing through the first part of this book as the second part is worth the read.
