What Members Thought

Despite Gregory's tendency to play fast and loose with history, I really did enjoy this book. The writing style is engaging, and I found myself really rooting for Mary, the narrator--sometimes against my better judgment. It was romantic and sexy. It was certainly not the greatest books I've ever read, but it sure was entertaining.

This book was fascinating and I had a difficult time putting it down. However, there was a TON of sex in it. If it wasn't about Anne Boleyn and King Henry I probably would not have finished it due to all the graphic stuff. But still it was so interesting to read about that time period.

From the very first page - I was unable to put the book down - and didnt put it down willingly for 660 more. With modern language, historical setting and perfection in characters, I would easily recommend it to anyone interested in romance, history, monarchs - or all of the above.
