I thought the book was excellent. However, I finished the book wanting a little more. I finally decided that my favorite character was Aibileen. She most represented what I believe to be the stereotypical black housekeeper during those times. She was strong, smart and smart enough to play dumb around the whites. She also played a major role in rearing the children in her "white family".

I can't wait to start the next book!!!!!! ...more
